You’re a Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Project Manager with over 8 years of experience working on multi-disciplinary commercial construction projects with expertise in design-build, P3 $200MM+ projects. You will develop and execute project plans and schedules, ensure the highest safety and quality standards. You have a proven track record for meetings budgets, schedules and scope.

Demonstrates leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project. Applies the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance of Ledcor HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project
Creates and/or facilitates Project Quality Program to ensure project materials are supplied and work is completed accordingly
Provides clear direction and strong leadership MEP design and other construction team members; distributes workload for MEP deliverables to capitalize on individual and group strengths while ensuring balanced exposure to work experience and development opportunities
Manages MEP design and construction teams; serves as lead for all MEP team activities
Ensures that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes and that high quality standards are maintained
Develops and maintains the construction schedule in conjunction with project team to meet milestones and completion dates
Issues and manages electrical and mechanical Requests For Information (RFI)
Resolves MEP site and design issues and participates in MEP sub-trade meetings
Prepares, negotiates and administers MEP subcontracts including special and general conditions
Maintains and tracks billings, reports and projections; implements trade awards and construction work within financial targets and constraints
Sets expected levels and methodology of documentation, standards and budget control for accounting and budget control considerations for a diverse variety of bid proposals (e.g. fixed price, cost plus, unit price etc.)
Performs other related duties as outlined in Ledcor’s Construction Operations Manual
8+ years’ of related MEP project management experience on design-build, P3 projects commercial construction projects
Completed post-secondary education in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Knowledge of Greater Toronto Area’s (GTA) mechanical, electrical and plumbing consultants and subcontractors is highly desired
Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, costs, budgets and methodologies related to mechanical, electrical and plumbing schematics.
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders; anticipates stakeholder needs
Ability to determine a problem’s root causes, identify short and long term solutions, anticipate patterns, and look beyond the immediate problem to the wider implications
Capable of anticipating constructability issues in complex situations and creating new solutions in the construction plan and schedule
Ability to understand and present complex ideas, anticipate potential objections, prepare case accordingly, and persuade others to adopt a point of view
A track record of building successful teams and promoting teamwork through motivating, coaching, and consensus-building
Skilled in facilitation, mentoring, and conflict resolution
Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements
Site and office based position
Some travel will be required to project sites and/or office locations
