Job Summary

You are an experienced Material Handler. You will be responsible for un-packing equipment, picking orders, and controlling inventory in accordance with quality, safety and efficiency standards. You will also be responsible for general housekeeping duties.

This is a 9-month temporary full-time assignment and will include rotational out of town assignments.

Responsibilities

• Verifies incoming and outgoing materials
• Provides shipping and receiving support
• Operates forklift as required
• Lifts heavy items up to 40Ibs
• Conducts inventory control and order selection
• Assists in warehouse safety, cleanliness and waste disposal
• Tracks and handles all inbound and outbound stock
• Audits inventory processes with specific focus on process compliance, assets protection, security, quality control and labour utilization

Requirements

• 1-2 years of industry experience, preferably in high volume warehouse environment
• Warehouse experience preferably in high volume environment
• Forklift Operator Certification is an asset
• Data base experience is an asset
• Proven computer skills – must be intermediate user of Excel and other Microsoft products
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment where needs change based on customer demands
• Experience in establishing relationships with various levels of an organization
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Work Conditions

• Extensive travel to other regional warehouses on a rotational schedule (2-4 weeks in duration) will be required.
• This is a 9 month temporary full time position
