You are an Accountant responsible for supporting Ledcor Technical Services operations in Canada and the US. Your experience allows you to simultaneously manage month-end financial accounting processes, monthly reporting and analysis, preparation of tax remittances and day to day administration of our employee credit card program.

Ensures accuracy, completeness and timeliness in the posting of all month end journal entries
Assists in preparation of monthly financial reports and provide analytical insights for variances
Leads monthly meetings with project managers to discuss project status and financial results including the preparation of percentage completion journal entries
Prepares data for annual budget and quarterly forecasts
Provides assistance to corporate income tax team for annual tax returns
Administers the company credit card program including developing and maintaining control processes as well as reconciling online expense report data monthly
Completes monthly and quarterly sales tax reconciliation and remittances for many US states and Canadian provinces
Performs other ad-hoc analysis and new duties as assigned
3-4 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
Enrolled or completed CPA program or have completed required pre-requisites; degree or diploma in accounting preferred
Highly developed proficiency in Excel including the ability to use v-lookups and Pivot-tables
Proficiency with computerized accounting systems
Good judgment and able to handle highly confidential matters
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Commitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer service
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
Relevant industry and JD Edwards experience would be an asset
