You are an experienced Project Coordinator who has a strong background and knowledge of Provincial, MOTI & Municipal requirements for permitting processes. Utilizing your experience in municipal and urban build, you will support our construction planning and execution phases throughout the lower mainland.

Scopes out required permits for projects
Reviews, documents and understands environmental risks on a project
Reviews, documents and understands environmental impacts of a project
Supports the environmental scoping (assessment) process of a project
Coordinates and tracks permit application and compliance during the approval and construction phases of a project
Liaises with external regulators and communicates permit status to the project team
Provides compliance advice and technical support to ongoing construction
Participates in public and Aboriginal consultations
Updates the document control system with project permits
Interfaces with internal and external engineering and environmental consultants
Performs permitting recordkeeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation; preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes; and maintenance of files, logs and submittals as they pertain to the permitting process
Tracks conditions of issued project permits
Performs other related duties as required
Completion of post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering or related discipline.
2 to 4 years of previous work experience on municipal, heavy civil, or pipeline projects.
Experience / knowledge of Provincial, MOTI & Municipal requirements for permitting processes.
Strong computer background including experience with MS Word, Excel, BlueBeam, AutoCad and scheduling software.
Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic form.
Knowledge of main construction office processes: project set up; subcontract management; change orders; RFIs (request for information); lien holdbacks; closeout.
Capable of probing and listening carefully, presents information clearly in an appropriate style and persuades others in straightforward situations.
Willingness to contribute actively in team activities, sharing experiences and ideas.
Willingness to work shifts as assigned.
