You are an experienced Purchaser who has more than 2 years of experience within a purchasing role. Your skills and abilities will make you the ideal candidate to facilitate the procurement of materials, equipment, and services, all while being cognoscente of costs to the project.

Responsible for expediting materials as required
Researches, locates and develops new suppliers to ensure that the lowest total cost of ownership is achieved for the project
Ensures that all items purchased for the project adhere to Ledcor’s policies and or those of the client’s
Works with new and existing key suppliers to ensure that they are committed to supporting Ledcor’s goals with respect to project deliverables
Works closely with site project personnel to meet the project requirements in regards to consumables, small tools and equipment
Provides input on Supplier bid evaluation, Bid analysis, Terms and Conditions, Negotiations, and Recommendations
Works closely with the accounting group to ensure timely payment of all supplier invoices occurs
Provides assistance to the Estimating Department in regards to pricing of materials, equipment and services during major estimates
May perform other duties as assigned
2-3 years’ experience in a similar environment, with specific experience in JDE Purchasing and/or other computer Procurement programs
Knowledge of supply chain, inventory, production, warehousing, transport and logistics
Knowledge of Procurement Execution, Estimating, Terms & Conditions, Expediting, Off-Site Supplier Quality, Subcontract Administration/Expediting, and Site Purchasing/Material Management
Strong understanding of contractual terms
Construction experience would be an asset
Strong computer proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Ability to work well under pressure on a number of tasks with imposing deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Ability to project a friendly, open manner and communicate well with management, co-workers, internal customers, suppliers, and client representatives
Excellent written and oral communication skills
