Job Summary

You are a designated Accountant with an interest in further developing your skills as an Accounting Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for corporate reporting across various Ledcor divisions, using your expertise in dealing with consolidations.

• Prepares and delivers departmental financial reporting and analysis
• Prepares audited/unaudited financial statements with reconciliations and supporting schedules to be reported to management
• Assists with accounting, JDE implementations and training on newly acquired or formed corporate entities
• Prepares and records adjustments as required including cost accruals, deferrals, etc.
• Assists with consolidated annual budgets and monthly forecasts
• Prepares annual audit working papers provided to external auditors
• Manages the annual audit process and works closely with external auditors
• Assists with other financial and regulatory reporting
• Monitors and enforces financial controls and policies
• Manages and mentors a team of junior and intermediate accounting professionals
• May perform other related duties as assigned


• Minimum of 5 years of progressive, relevant senior-level Accountant work experience within a complex and dynamic organization
• CPA designation
• Background in the areas of audit and consolidation required
• Previous team lead or management experience preferred
• Full comprehension of GAAP, and the ability to identify issues and interpret and apply accounting policies
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify any potential process and control weaknesses
• Ability to handle unique situations/circumstances in a logical and efficient manner
• Proven experience in successfully partnering with a business unit to drive control and accountability into operations
• Expert knowledge of Excel and Word
• Strong understanding of reporting systems, preferably Hyperion Financial Management
• Proficiency in JD Edwards (or a similar large ERP system) an asset
• Strong relationship building, communication and influencing skills
• High standard of performance, ability to deal with ambiguity and complexities
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
