You are a detail-oriented administrative professional with a strong background in shipping or warehousing, and an interest in the aviation industry. As Stores Assistant, you will be responsible for inventory management, to ensure the efficient flow of parts and components through the Stores department to meet operational requirements.

Ensure that all incoming parts are inspected in accordance with the receiving inspection details in the Maintenance Control Manual (MCM)
Ensure that all outgoing components are properly packaged and certified as detailed in the MCM
Maintain proper storage, retention, and distribution of parts and their records as described in the MCM
Oversee purchasing in the local market while developing strong relationships with vendors
Assist maintenance team with issuing parts for different jobs
Update computer-based tracking system daily utilizing log sheets
Cross reference updated daily hours to weekly maintenance forecast to ensure due maintenance is not missed
Produce regular reports for maintenance office as required
Control distribution of all tools and safety equipment
1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or shipping environment required; experience within the aviation industry would be an asset
Previous experience with technical records or in an administrative role preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Post-secondary parts and warehousing education an asset, but not required
Ability to learn quickly and develop a thorough understanding of parts and fleet aircraft
Strong MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
Strong record keeping and organizational skills
Self-motivated, with the ability to work productively in an unsupervised environment and prioritize effectively
Excellent attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy
Experience with Remote Aviation Access System (RAAS) would be considered an asset
