Job Summary

You are an experienced systems administrator who is seeking to apply your skills on both traditional and virtual servers. As Infrastructure Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security of technology systems, with a focus on network, connectivity and Cloud technologies. In this role, you will manage the systems throughout their lifecycle, from initial design, build and deployment, through to final decommissioning.

Responsibilities

• Support on-site and off-site design, installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, monitoring, reporting, and troubleshooting for technology systems and their related technologies in order to deliver required service levels
• Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex system problems, and recommend and implement corrective solutions
• Support Lifecycle Management process by managing asset inventory of technology systems
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain IT systems within local and other Ledcor locations, such as servers, firewalls, network switches and routers
• Ensure the resolution of tickets by taking ownership of infrastructure requests, and interfacing with team members and business stakeholders to see tickets through to completion
• Perform IT site surveys for site expansions, new locations, technology additions, as well as site moves, additions and changes for PCs, systems, and networks
• Develop and maintain an understanding of business processes that rely on the supported technology systems, and their associated service level agreements
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects that impact implementations, changes or improvements to related products or systems
• Ensure the continual improvement of the knowledge base, while assisting with the improvement of process deficiencies
• May perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5+ years of IT experience in systems/infrastructure administration in a large, enterprise organization
• Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) or related field
• Proven experience working with both physical and virtual servers
• Demonstrate experience or knowledge in: cloud computing and XaaS (e.g. O365); systems security, or cyber security, and related devices; various vendor network devices, wireless controllers and access points; DNS/DHCP/Wins/Active Directory/Group Policies
• Experience with TACACs/Radius Authentication and Authorization
• General understanding of ITIL best practices
• Familiarity with a service management system, preferably ServiceNow
• Strong understanding of a scripting language, preferably PowerShell
• Highly motivated team player with an ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing business environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to customer service

Work Conditions

• Scheduled on call support will be required
• Travel to Ledcor remote offices will be required
• Must be available for occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines or perform special projects
