You are an experienced Project Engineer with experience supporting large industrial oil and gas projects. You will be responsible for supporting the execution and completion of large scale oil and gas facilities. Another key responsibility will be to ensure construction operations are performed in a safe and efficient manner.

Ensure continuous verification of processes to ensure that facilities are installed in accordance with the specifications.
Ensure that project commitments are kept; while providing field continuity to design and to commitments made.
Administer engineering communications procedures and maintain an interface with the Project Engineer and all facets of technical charts.
Ensure that a satisfactory as-built record of the work is being made.
Confirm that a consistent end product is being delivered between the spreads.
Coordinate field engineering requirements.
Attend meetings with regulatory authorities.
Review submissions to regulatory authorities.
Contract document implementation.
Review survey data collection and as-built record procedures.
Assure himself that the level of workmanship meets or exceeds the engineering requirements of the Specifications and Drawings.
Provide technical interpretation when required.
Interface with the Field Engineers on all facets of technical changes.
Ensure that Activity Inspectors are alerted to and aware of important engineering requirements, in advance of the contractor starting construction on these features.
Personally inspect all pressure testing so as to ensure that such testing is conducted in accordance with all applicable Codes,
Regulations, and the Specifications.
Assist with the compilation of records for each test conducted, complete with all testing documentation, all in keeping with the hydrotest manuals, including: pressure charts, dead weight readings, recorder calibration records, yield plots, and leak reports.
Upon completion of construction, to interface with and provide necessary assistance to the group preparing the final as-built drawings, pipe records, and documentation.
Provide all necessary assistance to the Construction Manager in assessing the cost and schedule implications which may result from design changes.
Ensure that all QA/QC related issues are addressed, monitored, controlled, and that all appropriate documentation is produced.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities, not necessarily listed above, which may be assigned by the Construction Manager or Chief Inspector.
Completion of post-secondary education in construction, engineering or related discipline, preference will be given to those with an electrical background.
5+ years of electrical experience within an industrial construction environment.
Able to read, understand, and interpret engineering documents.
Strong computer background including experience with MS Word and Excel and scheduling software.
Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic form.
Knowledge of main construction office processes: project set up; subcontract management; change orders; RFIs (request for information); lien holdbacks; closeout.
Capable of responding to project stakeholder requests in typical situations and understands client needs and works to meet those needs by offering assistance and advice on standard practical issues.
Ability to identify problems/issues and generates solutions and makes sound decisions using standard procedures.
Capable of probing and listening carefully, presents information clearly in an appropriate style and persuades others in straightforward situations.
Willingness to contribute actively in team activities, sharing experiences and ideas.
Employees will be expected to work various schedules based on the project requirements.
Local based position, must reside or be willing to relocate to the Lower Mainland.
