Responsibilities

• Compiles quarterly consolidated financial statements for certain groups and divisions within Ledcor
• Generates and compiles monthly financial reports for various operating units
• Assists with month end close, including the preparation of month end journal entries, variance analysis and management financial reporting
• Reviews work of junior and intermediate accountants
• Assists with year-end audit requirements and prepares annual audit working papers and supporting documentation
• Prepares annual tax filing supporting documentation
• Prepares the quarterly intercompany analysis and journal entries
• Prepares monthly percentage of completion entries
• Prepares allocations of corporate and other costs
• Takes on special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ accounting/audit experience multi-entity environment
• CPA designation required
• Demonstrated accounting experience and knowledge of consolidation principles, investments, intercompany transactions and foreign exchange
• Relevant industry experience is desirable
• Good working knowledge of all MS Office programs; high level of proficiency in MS Excel is required
• Advanced computer skills using accounting software; familiarity with JD Edwards or similar ERP system would be an asset
• Strong analytical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interfacing with operations personnel, with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, organize and manage multiple tasks, and set priorities
