Job Summary

As a Lead Document Control coordinator, you will be responsible for supervising the processes for the receipt, management, storage and delivery of all current drawings, specifications, vendor data and manuals. You will supervise other Document Controllers and collaborate closely with the project team to ensure all information is current and distributed promptly to the applicable parties.

• Develop and Implement document processes and systems to ensure control and availability of documentation to Ledcor site personnel and other project stakeholders
• Organize and maintain all construction documents and records, including construction drawings, RFI’s, NCR’s, permits, easements, authority submissions, change orders and design review requests
• Record, circulate and monitor all drawings/documents received from the clients, engineering office and vendors
• Prepare transmittals and workflows of drawings/documents for submission to the client/subcontractors, manage submittals and workflow tracking
• Audit and reconcile drawing logs to ensure most current set of drawings/documents are being utilized
• Maintain an index of all original documents
• Build and maintain trusting relationships with client, subcontractors and suppliers
• May perform other related duties as assigned


• 5-7 years of experience in a document supervisory role, ideally in the construction industry
• Strong computer background including experience with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and ShareFile
• Proactive, self-motivated and results oriented
• Open to travel and a transition to a field based position to support the project
• Confident operating in a client-facing role, with the ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
• Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work under pressure balancing varying demands from multiple sources
• Must possess tact, diplomacy and the ability to maintain confidentiality

Work Conditions

• Edmonton based during pre-construction phase
• On-site in BC during construction
• Applicants that reside in Alberta or British Columbia will be given preference due to the location of this project
