Job Summary

You are a seasoned corporate real estate professional with experience in a large, multi-property organization seeking an opportunity to leverage your knowledge in all aspects of facilities management at Ledcor. As Facilities Director, you will be responsible for ensuring a ‘One Ledcor’ approach to facilities management across the group of Companies, including operating procedures, lease agreements, branding, and office equipment. You will provide leadership and guidance in the development of processes related to occupancy, coordination of external vendors, and budget development and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of office facilities across the Ledcor Group of Companies, ensuring a consistent ‘One Ledcor’ approach
• Work with divisional leaders to establish an overarching plan for facilities that will provide a unified and consistent approach, enhancing employee experience related to the physical office environment
• Engage Senior Management on property matters identifying alternative locations and cost savings efficiencies
• Lead lease, capital expenditures and contracts negotiations in collaboration with key internal and external resources
• Manage and take accountability for facilities-related budgets, and performance to budget
• Provide leadership and direction to on-site facilities personnel, such as Facilities Managers and Office Services leads
• Collaborate with landlords on facility matters, including matters related to HVAC, engineering, and maintenance
• Qualify and select suppliers, and manage ongoing vendor relationships to ensure optimal cost and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop, maintain and enhance business continuity and disaster and emergency preparedness plans and programs
• Develop facilities management policies and processes, and conduct ongoing reviews of best practices and performance measurements
• May perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• 7-10 years of in-depth senior-level experience in corporate real estate for a large multi-property, multi-national organization in a combination of the following; facilities engineering/operations, real estate management/leasing, large scale office moves, project planning, maintenance
• Background in commercial real estate would be an asset
• Post-secondary education in business administration or a related field
• Experience leading high performance delivery teams, creating a culture of collaboration and excellence in customer service
• Solid background in negotiating lease terms and agreements
• Real estate management skills – involving transaction management and property management in a corporate environment (market pricing, deal structuring, property management, lease administration, and principles of real estate law)
• In-depth knowledge of real estate, space planning and portfolio optimization, including knowledge of alternative workplace solutions
• Knowledge of building regulations, construction practices, and safety regulations
• Proven leadership skills in budgeting, cost management and process improvement
• Experience developing and managing multi-year operational budgets at the organization level
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement facilities strategies and plans that support the strategic direction and evolution of a large, complex organization
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and continuous change in a fast paced and growing multi-national company
• Strong team player, customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
• Strong people leadership and change management skills required; demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels within the enterprise to include interaction with senior stakeholders
