Job Summary

You are a talent professional with progressive Talent Management, Organizational Development and leadership development experience in a large, complex organization. As the Head of Talent, you will lead our talent team and play a key leadership role in the implementation of a new operating model, that includes leadership for a Workday and Service Now implementation as well as our continuously evolving Talent CoE service delivery model, to support Ledcor through a large HR transformation.

As the champion of the full talent life-cycle at Ledcor, you will be responsible for developing, communicating and executing a comprehensive talent strategy that supports and drives development solutions to address workforce needs. As a talent subject matter expert, you will partner with HR and business leaders to drive all talent-related activities including workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management / succession planning and learning and development. Your goal is to create continuity across all talent practices and programs to ensure a comprehensive and aligned approach for all divisions of Ledcor.

Play an integral role with the Ledcor Human Resources Leadership team in Vancouver, BC today.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction to the Talent CoE (Centre of Expertise) to ensure comprehensive programs and practices which are linked and aligned and provide meaningful value to the business.
• Establish and communicate a clear vision for Talent and foster a talent mindset across the organization.
• Partner with HR Leadership and business leaders to identify and develop talent management strategies, identify gaps and create plans to proactively address them.
• Assist in the design of the Company’s succession planning tools and process and career path framework to engage and retain key talent.
• Develop robust performance management/feedback tools and processes that support a culture of ongoing candid communication and feedback, and align individual goals with organizational goals.
• Ensure leverage and alignment of the behavioural competency model during the design of various talent programs.
• Oversee the change management process and acts as a resource to Business HR.
• Create change management tools for use by organization.
• Leads engagements with Business Partners in assessing areas of sub-optimal organizational performance to facilitate enhancements to people strategy, structure, processes, or culture.
• Design the annual employee engagement survey and identifies key engagement activities to enhance across the organization. Lead organizational diversity & inclusion initiatives.
• Plan and manage the Talent CoE budget and resources.
• Identify key metrics to determine the overall effectiveness of talent programs and inform future initiatives and investments.
• Accountable for Talent Management technology management and vendor relationship management as necessary to support companywide needs.

Requirements

Your 10+ years of progressive Talent Management, Organizational Development and leadership development experience in a complex organization along with at least 5 years of significant experience driving and managing solutions in workforce planning, succession planning, talent acquisition, learning and development, career development, competency models and performance management make you an ideal fit for this role along with your degree in Business, HR or a related field. You have a strong change management background, and are savvy around talent technology and how to leverage for greatest impact.

You are digitally savvy, and experienced with leveraging HR technology, talent innovations, and best practices that will enable the business to achieve objectives. You are an excellent communicator with the ability to build strong business cases for practical change management within the world of Talent Management. You are comfortable working with some level of ambiguity, and are able to use your consultative strengths to build consensus around a winning strategy for the future of Ledcor.
