Job Summary

You are an experienced Drop Field Supervisor who supports our Fibre Drop QA/QC program. You utilize your experience in telecommunications to ensure a high-quality fiber optic network which meets all specifications and requirements. Your experience in Telecommunications enable you to support project quality initiatives and reporting.

• Implements, coordinates, and maintains Ledcor systems and procedures in accordance with project specifications and requirements

• Performs general administrative and recordkeeping functions to ensure project specific quality management information is readily available including the completion of required quality documentation
• Ensures compliance with Inspection Test Plans, construction drawings and procedures, and other quality documents applicable to the work being performed
• Assists with scheduling testing and inspection services
• Initiates the nonconformance and corrective action process when materials, products or services do not meet the required specifications
• Performs ongoing inspections to ensure compliance by all field personnel to the Quality Control and inspection procedures
• Conducts project orientation sessions for field technicians and subcontractors
• Provides real time project and QA/QC support to field technicians and subcontractors
• May perform other duties as required


• Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license
• Completion of post-secondary education with a related diploma or degree is considered an asset
• 3+ years of experience supervising/leading a team
• Experience performing fiber optic drops or in fiber optic construction (both aerial and underground) is required
• Knowledge of horizontal directional drilling and underground conduit placement
• Experience working at heights and climbing poles with spurs
• Experience supporting multiple project locations simultaneously.
• Strong computer background including experience with MS Office.
• Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts at all levels in verbal, written and electronic form

Work Conditions

• Travel to various project locations will be required
