You are a licensed immigration and relocation expert seeking an opportunity to leverage your consultative skills in a large, dynamic organization. In the role of Immigration & Relocation Advisor, you will act as the key point of contact on all immigration and relocation matters across the business, and participate in a project team to review our overall mobility program. This role is part of our Total Rewards Community of Expertise (COE).

• Act as the lead consultative expert on all immigration and relocation matters, providing subject matter information, knowledge, and expertise to business and human resources stakeholders
• Provide advice and guidance to human resources, managers and employees with regards to foreign worker status and options available, including maintenance of work eligibility
• Research and identify most applicable work permit options, and complete all related applications and documentation, supporting employees throughout the process
• Provide subject matter expertise on NAFTA and other work permit matters, including Canadian and US intra-company transfers; support full process of filing Canadian LMIAs
• Work with outside legal counsel in securing appropriate work permits and authorizations for foreign national worker population
• Manage relationships with external immigration lawyers and other third parties, such as mobility and relocation vendors
• Support immigration compliance by managing all new work permit applications and renewals; ensure immigration records are maintained and in full compliance with appropriate legislative frameworks
• Serve as a resource for education and training for business and HR stakeholders on appropriate work permit classifications and onboarding timelines


• 5+ years of Immigration experience in a complex, matrixed organization, working with various levels of internal and external stakeholders; previous experience supporting relocation programs preferred
• Completion of post-secondary education in business, finance, HR or a related field; completion of relevant immigration diploma or certification
• ICCRC membership in good standing
• Thorough knowledge of Canadian immigration regulations required; familiarity with US immigration policies would be an asset
• Interest in learning and becoming part of an overall mobility program implementation, and related activities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership and third-party vendors
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work and exercise initiative to ensure an efficient and high-quality level of service with a busy and dynamic team environment
• Proven ability to apply attention to detail, research and gain knowledge quickly
• Ability to resolve issues and use negotiation skills to influence decisions
• Strong MS Office skills, primarily in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
