Job Summary

You are a talented facilities professional with experience in a multi-property organization. As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a ‘One Ledcor’ approach to facilities management within our lower mainland offices, including operating procedures, employee experience, office equipment, and vendor relationships. You will provide leadership to the facilities teams, and act as the key point of contact for all facilities-related matters.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities management at all our lower mainland office facilities, participating in the development of policies, standards and processes related to facilities management
• Develop specifications, qualify and select suppliers, monitor maintenance service contracts, and conduct periodic performance reviews with contractors and service providers
• Supervise procurement, maintenance and upgrades of furniture, utilities, security systems and signage; oversee renovation and tenant improvement projects within the facilities
• Build and manage a high-performing team, including the coordination and direction of administrative and support functions in our lower mainland office facilities
• Take accountability for facilities-related budgets, and develop strategies to manage and reduce operational costs
• Collaborate with key business stakeholders to develop effective disaster and emergency preparedness plans
• Act as the central point of contact with other administrative and facilities teams within Ledcor to ensure strong communication and collaboration
• Act as Ledcor’s point of contact with property management teams
• May perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience within the facilities / office management sector, combined with several years of supervisory experience
• Post-secondary education in facilities management, engineering, business administration or relevant field; professional designation in facilities management would be an asset
• Proven understanding of business administration and finance, facility systems, information technology and architecture
• Knowledge of building regulations, construction practices, safety regulations
• Strong team player, with a customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to lead and manage both teams and projects
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills, both in person and in writing
• Confident decision maker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail but also the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture
• Organization, time management, prioritizing and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload
• Solid understanding of MS Office and related software packages

Work Conditions

• Office based position
• Travel to other Ledcor offices and vendor locations as needed
