Job Summary
You are a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with at least one year of experience working with larger aircraft. You will join our skilled team of aviation professionals at Summit Air, servicing our growing fleet in Central and Northern Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct maintenance on fleet aircraft or aircraft components in accordance with the applicable standards of airworthiness
  • Troubleshoot faulty systems
  • Track and plan maintenance activities and coordinate with Dispatch as required
  • Maintain spares package through communication with stores department
  • Maintain aircraft records using computerized maintenance tracking system
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all required paperwork
  • May perform other related duties as assigned


Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of licensed AME experience, preferably working with larger aircraft
  • Possess Transport Canada AME License M1/M2
  • Previous experience with DHC-6, DHC-8, D228, SC-7, ATR42/72, orRJ85/100 would be an asset
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proven observational, decision-making and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven leadership skills


Work Conditions
  • Your choice of a live in work schedule or on a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off rotational schedule
  • Flights will be provided if you prefer a rotational schedule
