Job Summary
You are an experienced Materials Handler. You will be responsible for shipping, receiving and controlling inventory in accordance with quality, safety and efficiency standards. You will also be responsible for general facilities upkeep.

This position will be on a 5-day workweek but may include working Saturdays and Sundays as part of your regular work week.

Responsibilities
  • Verifies incoming and outgoing materials
  • Conducts facility shipping and receiving function
  • Operates forklift in a safe and efficient manner
  • Completes inventory control and order selection
  • Loads materials, puts materials away safely in facility or yard.
  • Assists in warehouse safety, cleanliness and waste disposal.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with our field teams ensuring we are meeting the warehousing demands of the operations teams


Requirements
  • 2+ years of warehousing experience preferably in a high volume environment
  • Forklift Operator Certification is required
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems is required
  • Experience supporting electrical and telecommunications projects is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment where needs change based on customer demands
  • Experience in establishing relationships with various levels of an organization
  • Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver's license
  • Ability to work independently, a self-starter and in a team environment
  • Proven computer skills - must be intermediate to advanced user of Excel and other Microsoft products
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills


Work Conditions
Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves lifting heavy items weighing up to 40lbs
