Job Summary
You are an experienced Equipment Operator who's familiar with various types of excavators and skid steers working around pipelines. You will be responsible for the safe excavation around pipelines or on hot lines as part of cathodic protection installation work.

Join the Ledcor Industrial Maintenance team in North Bay, Ontario today from June until November.

Responsibilities
  • Performs direct excavation around and/or on pipelines for cathodic protection installation projects
  • Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervision
  • Assist other crew members in labour work when not operating equipment
  • Maintain all equipment in good and safe working condition and report any findings to lead hand
  • Participate in daily tool box talks and take active role in Ledcor's health and safety program
  • May perform other related duties as assigned


Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of 5 to 10 years' experience directly related to excavation around pipelines
  • Must have experience working in rocky terrain
  • Must have experience operating up to 20-ton excavator and skid steer
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks as needed
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol
  • Must possess and maintain a clean driver's abstract and valid full-driver's license appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven
  • Ability to work with little supervision, while adding to a safe and positive team environment is a must
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis


Work Conditions
  • Applicants that reside in North Bay, ON and surrounding areas will be given preference due to the location of this project
  • 5/2 or 10/4 shift rotation depending on project location and working 10-12 hours/day
  • Must be flexible working varying shift rotations
  • Extensive travel required in NONT and to various project locations

  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
