Job Summary
You are an experienced Financial Analyst with 3-5 years of accounting experience. Drawing on your education and experience, you will be responsible for providing reporting and analysis to management, project teams, and business unit owners to support the monthly financial review process.

Responsibilities
  • Provides guidance, subject matter expertise and assistance to business unit owners around all aspects of monthly financial review
  • Supports the preparation, consolidation, and distribution of monthly divisional financial statements
  • Provides Controllers, business unit owners and project teams with cost information, and provides variance analysis to ensure monthly forecast packages are developed in an effective and timely manner
  • Maintains strong working relationships with Controllers and operations team leaders, client representatives and other key stakeholders
  • Assists Controllers and business unit managers in managing their costs and understanding the financial implications of business decisions
  • Investigates errors and anomalies in business unit costs, and works to obtain explanations and resolutions
  • Provides reporting and financial analysis on an as-requested basis to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, and making presentations of findings and analyses
  • Supports project teams on JD Edwards job cost functionality, GL maintenance and overhead cost administration
  • Assist in the development and consolidation of forecasts and budgets
  • Supports project accounting by assisting project teams with reconciliations and other project specific analysis
  • May perform internal project reviews to ensure/monitor compliance with internal accounting procedures
  • Assist in the development, maintenance and distribution of weekly reports and metrics
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end close process including consolidation of reporting by line of business
  • Prepare and analyze working papers
  • May perform other duties as assigned


Requirements
  • 3-5 years of working accounting experience
  • University Bachelor of Commerce Degree or comparable education
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and perform complex functions within Excel
  • Competency with large ERP's, preferably JD Edwards
  • Ability to create concise, professional reports
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, with the proven ability to juggle and reprioritize based on business demands and priorities
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements
