Job Summary
You are a highly self-motivated, safety conscious, and detail oriented individual who's familiar with the various aspects of pipelines, and pipeline maintenance. You will be assisting with the inspection and maintenance of valves, troubleshooting and repairing equipment/components associated with pipeline operations, and performing gas leak surveys.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure facilities and personnel comply with the client's Community, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures as well as accepted risk standards
  • Complete basic "as built" prints and update related documentation with respect to pipeline related schematics
  • Assist with inspections and maintenance related to valve servicing, troubleshooting and repair equipment such as actuators, valves, stem seals and other related components
  • Assist with pipelines isolations and gas handling duties including installation and operation Gas Transfer Compressors, air movers/expellers as well as blow down silencers
  • Read and interpret alignment sheets/drawings
  • Lead/manage safe and efficient completion of low complexity projects including the coordination and monitoring of contractor work activities or third party active control
  • Assist with general pipeline Right of Way (ROW) maintenance activities such as erosion or sink hole repairs, install identification signs and posts
  • Perform gas leak surveys
  • Other tasks as required


Requirements

  • Must be highly motivated with interpersonal skills to effectively work in a team environment that includes shared responsibilities while acting independently in the execution of specific duties
  • Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Must possess willingness to work in all areas required by the team
  • Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have proven planning and organization skills
  • Must have working knowledge of computers and related software
  • Must have a minimum education of a high school diploma or GED
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Must be able to provide a drivers abstract for review and possess a valid drivers licence (non-GDL)
  • Pipeline/facility construction/maintenance experience in the Oil and Gas Industry would be an asset
  • Previous experience working with high pressure natural gas would be an asset
  • Expeller operating experience would be an asset


Work Conditions

  • Applicants that reside within Swift Current, SK will be given preference due to the location of this project
  • Extensive travel throughout (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario) may be required, LOA given to those who qualify
  • Must be able to work a Modified shift (example- 9 hour days and every second Friday off)
  • Working outdoors and in various weather conditions
