Job Summary
You are an up-and-coming Project Manager with 2 - 5 years' experience within telecommunication construction. Your unrelenting drive for results and customer satisfaction enables you to successfully manage project schedules, subcontractors, and the work of multiple project sites and field crews simultaneously. Your working knowledge of telecommunications, safety management, and material management, paired with your advanced communication skills, have made you well-equipped to drive projects through to completion, while ensuring that objectives align with the vision and direction of the company.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates and promotes a culture of health, safety and environmental protection on the project by taking an active role in the implementation of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to achieve compliance of Ledcor HS&E standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations and codes
  • Diligently obtains all daily/weekly reporting inputs to the extended team and customer
  • Uploads and maintains all relevant documents to online workflow management system
  • Manages and documents escalations, reviews and assess sub-contractor site estimates and change orders when required
  • Works with project team to identify and manage opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule and financial targets
  • Maintains project systems and procedures, including master filing system, project billings, cost accounting, project delivery status and reporting
  • Facilitates project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project's ongoing progression
  • Builds a strong and cohesive support team to ensure efficient project delivery by mentoring, guiding and coaching team to expand their capabilities
  • Diligent with obtaining all daily/weekly reporting inputs from the field team and subcontractors
  • Maintains the production/build/activity logs
  • Maintains, tracks, and reports financial aspects of project, including forecasts and billings
  • Works with the project team to identify and manage opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule and financial targets
  • Manages project-related inquiries or escalations, and provides appropriate responses in a timely manner
  • Tracks project milestones ensuring deliverables are completed and meet project requirements
  • Assists with gathering project requirements from various internal teams
  • Performs other related duties as required


Requirements
  • 2to5 years' related work experience, or a combination of relevant education (construction, engineering or a related discipline) and experience
  • Knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic builds and maintenance considered an asset
  • Proven success in a results-driven organization where success is measured on execution, delivery and safety on multiple projects
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, anticipate stakeholder needs, and proactively identify solutions
  • Working knowledge of construction and engineering documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Capable of identifying issues and generating solutions in moderately complex situations
  • Willingness to contribute actively in team discussions, sharing experiences and ideas
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong computer skills with an aptitude for learning new programs
  • Clean driver abstract
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements
