Job Summary
You are a Fort McMurray based CWB Level 2 certified piping inspector with 5 years experience. As a Quality Control Coordinator, you will be responsible for various activities that could include: monitoring welding parameters, completing visual inspections and quality control duties related to slurry pipeline projects. This includes document control, procedure review, validating related quality processes, and assisting the project QA/QC supervisor with the implementation of quality procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Read and understand specification requirements for the related piping and construction activities
  • Communicate the requirements of the ITP's (Inspection & Test Plans), code requirements and client specifications to the craft personnel
  • Monitor ongoing welding to ensure performance to welding procedures
  • Visual inspections of completed welding to code requirements (Z662 & B31.3)
  • Coordinate piping hydro test tracking and coordination
  • Complete quality processes as required by project
  • Identify Non-conformances to the Project QA/QC supervisor
  • Ensure Quality Records are maintained for System turnover
  • Provides input to the development of the project quality plan
  • Provides input to the development of Ledcor's quality program
  • May perform other related duties as assigned


Requirements
  • Completion of post secondary education with a related diploma, degree or trade certificate
  • 5+ years related work experience or combination of relevant education and experience
  • Experience with non-destructive examination
  • Certification as a CWB Level 2 Welding Inspector or equivalent
  • Strong computer background including experience with MS Office
  • Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic form
  • Able to identify problems/issues and generates solutions and makes sound decisions using standard procedures
  • Capable of probing and listening carefully, presenting information clearly in an appropriate style and persuading others in straightforward situations


Work Conditions
  • Applicants that reside in Fort McMurray will be given preference due to the location of this project
  • There is no camp or travel provided
