Job Summary
We are seeking a Resource Planning & Dispatch Coordinator student to join our Ledcor Technical Services team in Port Coquitlam, BC starting in November 2018 to work part time during any available hours during the week and weekend. The student, under the direction and guidance of the team, provides support services as it relates to our resource planning and dispatch process.

Responsibilities
•Monitor daily workload in assigned geographical areas to ensure customers' requirements are met
•Handle inbound calls from technicians and offer assistance as required to manage workload
•Handle inbound calls from client dispatch teams to ensure effective coordination of resources and clear communication between teams
•Complete outbound calls to technicians to ensure job status information is up to date and accurate
•Assess daily workload and determine if any adjustments to the resource plan are required, including but not limited to contacting technicians to take additional shifts and or jobs to assist with high workloads
•Creation and management of reports, tracking unique bookings, system errors, etc.
•Ensure adherence to client procedural requirements as well as LTS specific processes
•Other duties as required
•Maintain a monthly work schedule for technicians
•Assist with annual vacation planning for technicians including the processing of ad hoc requests
•Communicate and coordinate with technicians for out of town work assignments
•Facilitate ad-hoc requests for additional manpower during current work schedules
•Track and manage the onboarding process of new technicians
•Inventory, track, distribute and maintain various assets for the field
•Assist with travel coordination including booking of accommodations and transportation
•Draft, edit, and type correspondence, reports, presentations and other documentation using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Other duties as assigned including special projects

Requirements
•0-2 years related work experience or combination of relevant education and experience
•Strong computer background including experience with MS Office, Visio and flowcharts
•Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic form
•Ability to solve problems based on clearly defined procedures
•Capable of proactively participating in discussions, asking questions and thinking critically, ensuring understanding and providing explanations clearly and precisely
•Willing to work co-operatively with others to achieve team goals and objectives
•Strong verbal and written Communication
•Proficiency with summarizing information accurately and in a timely manner
•Familiar with documentation of processes
•Strong proficiency working with numbers is an asset

Work Conditions
•Work Schedule: Part Time Variable Monday to Sunday
•Travel: Role is Port Coquitlam Based
•Available: Starting in November 2018
