Job Summary
You are an experienced Engineering Controls Coordinator, looking for an opportunity to use your finely tuned skills to provide support to the design and engineering teams within Ledcor Technical Services. Under the guidance of the Director of US Design and Engineering, you will be responsible for reporting, scheduling, project controls, cost coding, and budget reporting forecasts. You will also leverage your experience to provide technical and management support to the design and engineering team, for a progress monitoring tool. Your ability to manipulate and validate information, improve processes, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, will contribute to your success in this exciting role.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain Production and Force to Load reporting, while supporting the Director with the implementation of corrective action to the Design management team
  • Facilitate the tracking of project milestones and deadlines; assist with the creation of the project schedule; input and update schedule throughout the project
  • Preparation of production, management, and communication reports, including progress charges, manpower plans, design costs and schedules
  • Oversee and ensure the success of the change management plan, starting from the implementation phase
  • Ensure the Zone and Design Managers update status' and forecasts within QuickBase; assist with the development of project schedules and reporting
  • Within QuickBase, create and manage various reports (Production, Force to Load, Forecast etc.), for the purpose of internal and external distribution
  • Support the subcontract management process by providing assistance with the review and processing of invoices and progress claims; assist with the review of documents and inquiries, monitoring cost and quantities against the budget
  • Monitor project schedules and reporting, procedures, and practices while being able to think creatively and strategically to develop improvements
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures
  • Organize, attend, and participate in stakeholder meetings; prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings; document and follow up on important action items and decisions from said meetings
  • Provide administrative support, as needed
  • Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and that all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
  • Exemplify a solutions-oriented mindset and communication style with all stakeholders
  • Additional related duties as required


Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Construction, or Finance
  • Experience with engineering and construction based cost and scheduling systems (Productivity, Performance Measurement, Progress Tracking etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including the ability to manipulate large amounts of data and perform complex functions within Excel
  • Experience with project controls tracking/forecasting/scheduling systems
  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills towards the generation of solutions and sound decisions
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently interact with stakeholders in verbal, written and electronic form
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, with the proven ability to juggle and reprioritize based on business demands and priorities
  • Knowledge of main telecommunications office processes
  • Capable of responding to project stakeholder requests and understanding client needs; ability to work to meet those needs by offering assistance and advice on standard practical issues
  • Ability to identify problems/issues, generate solutions, and make sound decisions using standard procedures
  • Capable of probing and listening carefully, presenting information clearly and in an appropriate style, and persuading others in straightforward situations
  • Willingness to contribute actively in team activities, sharing experiences and ideas
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements
