Job Summary:

Ledcor Technical Services is looking for a Quality Manager to work within our US Field Operations (USFO) and Canadian (BFS) group. The Quality Manager oversees supervising the production of process to make sure all products and services are meeting a consistent standard. The duties include developing and implementing quality control tests, inspecting services at various stages, creating reports, coaching for improvement and documenting services issues for improvement.

This individual will develop solid work relationships with both internal and external customers and assist in the development of a quality team within the Field Operations group. The right candidate will have solid experience and background within the telecom and technology industry. This position requires travel within continental U.S and Canada.

This Quality Manager will set goals, KPIs, and expectations centered around quality of installation (both CPE and associated cabling). This candidate must be familiar with working within a live environment and establishing new or updated processes and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Understand customer expectations  and needs for particular services
  • Monitor and evaluate internal production processes.
  • Develop evaluation guidelines around the final output to determine their quality and performance.
  • Engage with customers and gathering services feedback directly and through the Ledcor Quality Assurance Register (QAR) process.
  • Develop and produce statistical reports on quality standards.
  • Report to management on quality standard issues.
  • Improve production efficiency and managing waste.
  • Prepare a series of checklists and/or job aids specific to product platforms or technology.
  • Conduct field inspections and quality reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Five to ten years of related work experience
  • Previous experience in QMSs required, including implementation, training, auditing, and continuous improvement
  • Strong computer background including experience with tools described in the applicable quality management systems. Systems leveraged include Microsoft suite, Power BI and other analytics software
  • Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic form.
  • Identifies problems/issues, looks beyond the immediate problem to the wider implications and generates new solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience with the training and coaching of all employee levels from trades to senior management.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
