Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate a 110 ton lattice boom crawler crane and hammer (hydraulic/diesel) in order to install multiple sizes of different pile material (sheet piles, h-piles, pipe piles etc.).
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with site supervision.
  • Hoisting with Crawler Cranes.
  • Able to safely and efficiently assemble and disassemble crawler cranes with minimal supervision.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections, safety checks, and load chart calculations.
  • Communicates with assigned crews to determine the best placement of crane for planned lifts.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Crane Operator ticket from a recognized training authority
  • Previous industry experience operating Crawler cranes
  • Previous experienced with piling operations utilizing various techniques
  • Able to effectively and efficiently work with the crew and communicate with site supervision clearly.
  • Must possess valid PCST certification, First Aid, Ground Disturbance Lv2, and Standard Basic Rigging.
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

    Work Conditions:

    • This is a site based role in Kitimat BC
    • Camp and travel provided for those that qualify
    • Work will be outside in all weather conditions
    • 14 days on, 7 days off, 11 hours per day
    • Benefits provided by CLAC
