Job Summary:

You are an experienced Drafter seeking a great wage, extensive benefits, and want to work for a company who prides themselves on safety. You are organized and have previously worked alongside survey crews in a mining or industrial setting.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Keep up-to-date on project specifications, details and standards to ensure the field crews are provided with the latest information.
  • Produce stakeout files such as DXF, CSV, and TTM.
  • Receive and update daily field survey data and maintain compiled drawings.
  • Identify conflicts and troubleshoot any potential problems with client’s drawings.
  • Work with the site leadership and quality personnel to ensure as-builts meet the required tolerances vs design.
  • Produce turnover drawings, redline documents, and update pile spreadsheets.
  • Create and work with volumetric surfaces to calculate volumes and estimates.
  • Produce cross-section drawings.
  • Familiarity with Trimble and Topcon grade control is an asset.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in a similar role
  • Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, combined with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and quickly able to adapt to change
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must possess a valid form of government issued photo identification
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
  • Related education and previous field experience as a surveyor is an asset

Work Conditions

  • Applicants who reside in Alberta will be given preference due to the location of this project
  • 14/7 shift schedule, 10h-12h/day
