Payroll Team Lead

Job Summary:

You are an experienced Payroll professional with strong leadership skills. Using your attention to detail and customer service orientation, you will monitor and oversee the payroll process, for supervision of the Payroll team, and for processing bi-weekly payrolls as required. You enjoy collaboration with a team to ensure process development and continuous improvement.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead the Payroll team in the full cycle payroll process using our in-house ERP system including off cycle and bonus payrolls
• Provides leadership in new or changed processes relating to payroll while providing coaching and training as needed
• Reviewing processes to ensure max efficiency
• Respond to payroll inquiries in ServiceNow and provide excellent customer service
• Review master data changes from Workday to JDE- new hires, worker changes and terminations
• Prepare records of employment or wage reports
• Process tax compliance including processing garnishments, tax payments and union dues

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience of full cycle payroll, in a complex organizational environment
• Minimum 1 year experience in a payroll supervisor/lead position is preferred
• Ensures compliance with all legislative authorities
• Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Customer service-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong Working knowledge of Microsoft office products including excel and word
• Proficiency with ERP accounting systems (JD Edwards would be an asset)
• A team player with the ability to work independently

• This is a work from home position with the understanding that from time to time you may be required to attend the office or the operations site as business needs require
