Job Summary:

The Traffic Coordinator, under direction and guidance, has knowledge of current construction work safe practices. In this role, you will assist with documentation and administration of the traffic control process, and compiling data for crews that are building telecommunications networks.

Essential Responsibilities

  • As Traffic Coordinator, execute daily duties as assigned by the General Superintendent of Construction, with a primary focus upon the overall administration of a traffic control process in support of the construction of a fiber optic network within a suburban and urban setting. 
  • Work with the Project Manager, General Superintendent, and external Client and City personnel to develop mutually agreed upon processes
  • Submitting revisions to existing plans, and client reporting requirements.
  • Comply with all corporate and Project Specific Safety policies and guidelines.  
  • Prepare Traffic Control Plans and submit approved plans to Client and City personnel in accordance with approved processes.
  • Implement and maintain parking closures for micro trenching (Up to 15000 feet of no parking per day)
  • Take pictures and report accordingly for process of micro trenching.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports
  • Take active role in Ledcor’s health and safety program

Qualifications:

  • Two to Five years of experience in a construction related industry, previous experience as Coordinator, Data Entry specialist is an asset
  • General understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of current construction practices.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders.
  • Capable of working co-operatively to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Ability to solve problems based on clearly defined procedures.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
