Job Summary:

You are a Journeyperson Ironworker, or skilled Ironworker Apprentice with industrial construction experience. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on the DOW Ethylene Pipeline project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating in accordance with quality, safety and efficiency standards.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Erect steel to complete structures for steam rack reinforcement
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to correctly erect structures
  • Able to lay out, plum and square up structures and equipment
  • Rigging and setting of building modules, tanks and equipment
  • Work with construction cranes, derricks, and other hoisting equipment

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience on industrial sites
  • Must possess a Journeyperson Ironworker Ticket or a valid Apprenticeship Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Must possess valid CSO or BSO certificate
  • Fall Protection and Drive safe an asset
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision is an asset

Work Conditions:

  • Experienced applicants that reside in Fort Saskatchewan, AB or surrounding areas will be given preference due to the location of this project
  • Project to commence in October with estimated completion in February 2023;
  • 4 shifts/week; 10 hours per day
  • Drive in, drive out position with parking available on-site. No camp accommodations
  • Benefits provided by CLAC
