Journeyperson Electrician

Job Summary:

You are a knowledgeable Journeyperson Electrician that has extensive experience working in an industrial shop setting. We are looking for a Journeyperson Electrician to support us in our Pipe Fabrication and Module Assembly Facility in Nisku, AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for working in accordance with quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications
• Pulls wire through conduits and holes
• Installs, replaces, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and related electrical equipment
• Splices, joins, and connects wire to form circuits
• Tests circuits to ensure integrity and safety

Requirements:

• Must have a Journeyperson Electrician's Ticket or be a registered Electrical Apprentice from a recognized provincial training authority
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
• Must have previous electrical experience in an industrial setting
• Must possess a valid CSTS 2020 (Construction Safety Training Systems) certification and OSSA (Oil Sands Safety Association) Regional Orientation or BSO (Basic Safety Orientation)
• Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision

Work Conditions:

• Shift based position working 5 days on with 2 off
• Working 10 – 12 hours per day
• Local work only in Nisku
• Project scope for Welders is expected to run until the end of February 2023 (may be able to be transferred to camp based role upon completion)
