Job Summary:

You are a knowledgeable Pipefitter or Pipefitter Apprentice that has extensive experience working in an industrial shop setting. We are looking for a Journeyperson or Apprentice Pipefitter to support us during our overnight shifts in our Module Fabrication shop in Nisku, AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for working in accordance with quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, and thread piping
  • Install piping spools, equipment and valves in modules
  • Use and maintain tools
  • Mentor and provide guidance for apprentices
  • Hydrotest, assemble and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility and modules
  • Accurately reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Meet and follow all safety requirements and applicable safety policies

Requirements:

  • Ticketed Journeyperson status or enrolled in apprenticeship program is preferred
  • Construction Safety Training System certificate (CSTS-2020) is required
  • Must have 3 - 4 years of previous fabrication experience
  • Experience with hydraulic torquing machines
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to problem solve

Work Conditions:

  • Shift based position working 5 days on with 2 off
  • Working 10 – 12 hours per day
  • Local work only in Nisku
  • Project scope for Welders is expected to run until the end of February 2023 (may be able to be transferred to camp based role upon completion)
  • Benefits provided by CLAC – RSP, Pension, etc.
