Financial Analyst, Management Reporting

Job Summary:

You are a driven and detail-oriented financial professional who will bring your expertise in analyzing finance data and investigating variances. In this role you will work closely with Senior Analysts on the team and Finance Operations supporting Construction, Constructors, and Telecom divisions to ensure the timely and accurate production of financial reports. As an Analyst you will be responsible for preparation of month end consolidation, provisions of dashboard information and support for accounting, budgeting and forecasting activities.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Preparation of month end project profit recognition journals and generation and compilation of monthly management financial reports for various operating units
• Follows up and resolves questions from management about financial variances
• Performs other key month end accounting activities, including preparation of recurring journal entries and preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations
• Supports the preparation of the annual operational budget and aspects of the year-end audit and tax compliance requirements
• Supports the team in process improvement projects to improve financial reporting as required by the business

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years’ financial analyst experience in a similar role
• Experience in a multi-entity environment is preferred
• Experience with analyzing financial data and investigating variances
• Understands and has applied process redevelopment
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with expert knowledge of Excel
• Familiarity with JD Edwards or a similar ERP system would be an asset
• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail and ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently, organize and manage multiple tasks, and set priorities
• Strong verbal and written communications skills

• This is a work from home position with the understanding that from time to time you may be required to attend the office as business needs require
