Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager, Construction Operations will be responsible for ensuring qualified construction resources are available for building telecommunication networks. The qualified individual will assume a leadership role and provide guidance and support to the Management, Estimating and Business Development teams. This collaboration will bring the accomplishment of key objectives of Ledcor and the client, while achieving the financial expectations that are essential to success.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Sources, recruits and qualifies contractors/recourses for that scope of work Ledcor is pursuing or where work is currently located.
  • Ensure that Ledcor acquires and maintains the needed Contractor Licensing in the states selected where work is being performed and states identified for expansion.  This involves researching, working with legal, as well as the State Boards for Contractor Licensing to ensure Ledcor is licensed appropriately
  • Leads and promotes Ledcor safety culture, ensuring site safety and environmental standards are exceeded
  • Combines efforts with the Estimating team to create, build and maintain a nationwide pricing matrix that is efficient and effective
  • Establishes and maintains effective communications and leads project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project’s ongoing progression.
  • Provides strong leadership to construction team members, capitalizing on individual and group strengths to ensure project targets are achieved.
  • Identifies and manages opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule and financial targets.
  • Maintains, tracks, and reports all financial aspects of project including forecasts and billings

Qualifications:

  • 10 to 15 years of Telecom construction and sourcing experience as a Manager or Director
  • Completed post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Expert professional at building costs for Telecom bidding and estimating responses, providing content for RFP's and project risk management
  • Ability to lead contract negotiations as well as a comprehensive understanding of contact documents
  • Proven ability to build successful teams and promote teamwork through motivating, coaching, and consensus-building
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders, exchanging information and responding to moderate stakeholder requests
