Job Summary:

The Project Controls Specialist performs reporting, scheduling, and provides technical and/or management support to operations for a progress monitoring tool.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complex reports in PowerBI/Excel for internal and external distribution

  • Maintain and evaluate project progress including earned value management on a regular basis

  • Reviews and validates production quantity and invoices

  • Provides support of the creation and maintenance of the project schedule and provides ongoing updates to project stakeholders

  • Implements the cost management process including assisting with budget and chart of account development

  • Assists with change management functions with creation of proposals and field estimates

Qualifications:

  • 2 - 5 years of related work experience, or combination of relevant education and work experience

  • Experience with engineering and construction-based cost and scheduling systems

  • Excellent time management and organization skills, with the proven ability to juggle and reprioritize based on business demands and priorities

  • Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic form

  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 is an asset
