Job Summary:

You are an experienced Journeyperson Instrumentation with experience to support us on industrial oil & gas projects. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on the Suncor Baseplant Maintenance team.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects and tests instrumentation and system operations to diagnose any faults
  • Repairs, maintains, and adjusts system components or removes and replaces defective parts as required
  • Installs control valves, transmitters and pressure gauges as required
  • Complies with appropriate installation standards and practices to effectively install and maintain instruments and to meet site requirements
  • Read and interpret drawings and follow code specifications and procedures
  • Instrumentation tubing
  • Installation, installing instruments, hoses, and fabrication
  • Calibration of components and instruments according to manufacturers’ specifications
  • Inspecting and testing, fault finding
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Willing to act as a mentor to apprentices

Qualifications

  • Must be an instrumentation technologist with an instrumentation engineering technology diploma or a journey person instrumentation mechanic / technician
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Must be comfortable working at heights
  • Must possess a valid form of government issued photo identification
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision

Work Conditions

  • Ideal for local candidates and or those willing to live temporarily in Fort McMurray AB
  • $50 Living Out Allowance per day
  • Travel to and from site for each day worked
  • Camp and flights are not provided for this project
  • 14/7 working 10-12 hours per day
  • Benefits provided by CLAC
