Job Summary:

You are an experienced crew planner or scheduler, ideally with a background in aviation or transportation. The Crew Scheduler is responsible for implementing and maintaining the pilot schedule on a month-by-month basis, ensuring crew coverage for all aircraft. In addition, you will book flights and hotels for upcoming rotations and training that occurs away from base.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain flight crew schedule to ensure adequate coverage for all aircraft
  • Ensure schedule complies with company and Transport Canada regulations
  • Assess crew requirements in order to determine acceptability of vacation requests
  • Alter schedule as required for away trips, sick days and vacation time
  • Coordinate and communicate crew change schedules for rotations with clients
  • Ensure proper paperwork and information is provided to crews for first time rotations
  • Schedule training items as required
  • Allocate travel and schedule crew on trips as required
  • Ensure hotels and car rentals are booked for away from base trips as required

Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a crew scheduling, planning and/or dispatch role
  • Related education or training would be an asset
  • Familiarity with Transport Canada and Canadian Aviation Regulations
  • Strong computer skills, particularly MS Excel
  • Analytical and organized, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
  • Proven communication skills to ensure effective and timely flow of information
