Tower Technician (Climber)

Job Summary:

Ledcor Group looking for a Tower Technician. Full-time, paid by-weekly, full benefits, 401k Match up to 4%, health insurance, PTO and Holiday pay.

Must have over 1 year climbing experience to start. Good driving record, pass drug screening and background check. Scope of work is directly related to Verizon upgrades. Verizon experience is preferred. CITCA and Comtrain / OSHA certs helpful but we will train in house as well.

Work is based in the Chicago market/NW Indiana. Minimal travel is required at the beginning of this project.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Understands and implements Industry standards (OSHA, TIA10-48, NATE CTS and ANSI)
• Climbing towers and ladders at various heights
• Off-loading material and inventory
• Preparation and cleaning of sites
• Installation of new equipment on new build and existing towers
• Serve as a mentor to new less experienced technicians
• Other duties as assigned.
   

Skills And Experience

• Must have over t1 year experience climbing towers.
• Experience with Verizon equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions per prints.
• Working knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
• NWSA certification is a plus.
• Must have the ability to climb towers, be able to pick up 50 lbs., and be capable of working up to 12 hours.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
