Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate wheel loader, bulldozer and skid steer efficiently and safely
  • Feed chips into the conveyor and/or stockpile in relation to species
  • Feed, store, sort and handle chips in an organized manner
  • Perform standard maintenance on loader, conveyor and bulldozer
  • Communicate with other employees in site production regarding current requirements and incoming inventory
  • Maintain coordinated effort and communication to ensure site runs efficiently
  • Meet productivity goals in a safe and consistent manner

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience on a wheel loader
  • Experience maintaining equipment (general repair and upkeep)
  • Ability to prioritize and respond to challenges
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Successfully completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing is a requirement

Work Conditions

  • Shift will rotate every 2 weeks of afternoons & then 2 weeks of mornings (ultimately this will be 2pm - 10pm once operating hours expand in the future)
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to and from the Silverdale Reload facility
  • Ability to safely, operate equipment at heights i.e. on top of chip/hog piles
