Job Summary:

You are experienced and interested in 3D modeling and data integration in the construction industry. We are looking for individuals to join our Integrated Digital Services team. In this role, you will work closely with both project and office staff to develop, maintain, and leverage model data for the assigned project. Essential Responsibilities

  • Create 3D models from 2D plans and technical specifications
  • Support model-related project coordination
  • Troubleshoot model-related issues with the project team
  • Accumulate information from project stakeholders for incorporation into the 3D model
  • Implement model-related document management systems on projects. May be responsible for document control activities, where required.
  • Coordinate 3D laser scans/point cloud models 
  • Perform clash detections and assist in developing solutions with the project team
  • Provide modeling information and/or coordinate data from the site to assist with design
  • Perform quantity take-offs to support estimating

Qualifications

  • 3-8 years of experience working with BIM-related software
  • Educational background in engineering (civil, mechanical, or structural), survey, geomatics, architectural technology, or 3D modeling / animation
  • Experience with civil construction design preferred
  • Technical background with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and/or 3ds Max
  • Motivated, self-starter who can work well independently or within a team environment 
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies 
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong communication, planning and organizational skills

Work Conditions

  • This is a currently a hybrid position, with in-office 3 days per week
  • 40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday
