Ledcor’s Highway Maintenance team is looking for summer student positions to assist in the Mobile Crackseal program and other summer maintenance programs.

.Job Responsibilities:

• Road maintenance activities including:
  • Crackseal operations
  • Message painting
  • Equipment and small tool operation
  • Flagging and traffic control
  • Overall support to equipment operators and drivers when required

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
• Must possess a valid form of government issued photo identification
• Hard work ethic with a passion for construction and maintenance career
• Ability to work away from home during field-based work
• Relatively clean Class 5 Driver’s License is an asset.  Some positions may be available without a Class 5 Driver’s License

These are field-based positions.  Travel will be required based on workload and location of work. Work is generally Monday to Friday with a minimum of 40 hours per week and opportunities for additional overtime as required.  Work locations may include Nisku, Leduc, Brazeau, Edson, Whitecourt, Drayton Valley and Grande Prairie areas.

Employees will be initially based out of Ledcor’s facilities in Drayton Valley.  When working away from the Drayton Valley assembly point, Ledcor will provide transportation, accommodation and meal allowances or a daily living out allowance to the remote work locations.

Employment start date will be early to mid-May.  This is a great opportunity for summer students or similarly motivated people looking to grow their career with Ledcor.  Posting will remain open until the positions are filled.
