Job Summary:

A Pipeline Cathodic Protection (CP) Surveyor will be an integral part of a nationwide effort responsible for the ongoing maintenance of our client's underground pipeline systems.

We’re seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team. This position offers valuable on-the-job training and an opportunity to learn essential skills in surveying techniques and survey equipment operations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Travel to various locations and assist senior survey technicians to conduct survey on the pipeline right-of-way.
  • Operate and maintain light duty vehicles in compliance with Ledcor’s policies and procedures.
  • Learn to operate surveying equipment to locate and stake pipelines.
  • Maintain and organize survey equipment and materials.
  • Ensure all equipment calibrations, when required, are completed at specified intervals.
  • Operate ATV/UTV/snow mobile as required.
  • Actively implement Ledcor and client’s health, safety and environmental program to daily work.

Qualifications

  • 0 - 2 year of survey or labour experience. On-the-job training will be provided to the selected candidates.
  • Strong interest in surveying and the oil and gas industry.
  • Must possess and maintain a clean driver’s abstract and valid driver's license.
  • Comfortable with walking 5+ kilometers a day in rough terrain.
  • Must be able to work as directed and under supervision.
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.

Work Conditions

  • This position begins in May 2024.
  • Benefits provided by CLAC include pension and RSP matching.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Mon - Fri , every second Friday off
  • There is a possibility of frequent overnight stays away from the base of operation, with live-out-allowances or accommodation provided.
