Job Summary:

You are an Equipment Manager with experience in managing teams within the Infrastructure Industry. You will play a key role in the effective delivery of the project acting between Field Operations and the Commercial team. You are a problem solver and continuously look for innovative solutions that can be utilized on projects. Local candidates are preferred due to the location of the project.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Project Director, Managers and Superintendents to determine Equipment requirements
  • Forward planning to ensure timely and most economical deployment of Equipment
  • Monitor utilization and manage deployment, including suspension and timely off hiring of under-utilized items
  • Monitor and report damage and abuse of Company/ Externally Hired Equipment
  • Allocate Project Serial Numbers and maintain accurate records of deployment
  • Liaise with Mechanics and record scheduled, regular maintenance. Keep track of breakdowns and mechanical failures and record repairs
  • Maintain effective reporting lines to senior management including equipment forecast information to the Commercial Team
  • Ensure that checklists for all items of heavy equipment are completed by relevant Heavy-Duty Mechanics
  • Liaison between Trucking Contractors and Field Operations for planning of equipment movements

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in a similar leadership position
  • Working knowledge/ experience with CAT and other pipeline heavy equipment
  • Previous experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic would be an asset
  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office applications
  • High attention-to-detail
  • High level of initiative

Working Conditions

  • Site based position – 5-2 schedule
