Job Summary:

Reporting to the Subcontractor Manager, you will use your expert knowledge of Subcontractor Default Insurance(SDI)/Qualification program to impact others within the Risk Team. In this role, you will analyze subcontractor qualification submittal packages, forge strong relationships with project teams/subcontractors, facilitate training sessions to promote SDI use while maintaining risk management best practices, and providing expertise to complete competing tasks.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assess and determine when subcontractor risks should be escalated to Subcontractor Manager and/or Director of Risk
  • Extracts key data from CPA prepared financial statements and analyze additional subcontractor-provided background information such as work-on-hand reports, cash flow statements, or other financial statements
  • Resolves issues within CDI program using established precedents, ensuring decisions align with company policies
  • Ensures the integrity of CDI database in JDE and Compass Prequalification tool
  • Executes quarterly CDI project billing summaries and conduct analyses for aggregation trends, CDI carrier compliance and tax compliance
  • Engages with Ledcor 3rd party insurance brokers to review program policies and endorsements which includes reviewing program policies and endorsements, ensuring alignment with industry standards, and optimizing coverage to mitigate risks effectively
  • Monitors newly established projects to ensure timely CDI enrollment. Utilize organizational knowledge and internal relationships to proactively engage with project teams, estimating groups, and finance teams to ensure the CDI underwriting process has ample time to provide rating advice back to project teams
  • Provides business intelligence reporting to Operational teams
  • promotes awareness of risk management practices and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a risk management, underwriting (surety or commercial) or supply chain management role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Self-management skills to plan, organize and prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written and negotiation skills
  • Strong customer service skills, comfortable and capable of various forms of outreach/communication with subcontractors
  • Excellent knowledge of financial statements and financial analysis
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and professional judgement
  • Experience with CDI qualification toolset TradeTapp, Bespoke, or other 3rd party qualification program
  • Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards
  • Fluent with other business tools such as Excel or Power BI tools

Work Conditions:

  • This is a hybrid role involving both working from home and attending the office one to two days per week
