Job Summary:

As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and equipment time entries, creating and revising purchase orders, and managing project-related accounts receivable. Additionally, you will assist project teams with month-end duties. Working under moderate supervision, you will solve routine problems within defined procedures and assist other accounting personnel and project teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Process and accurately enter payroll & equipment time entries into JD Edwards, ensuring that procedures and approval requirements are followed, and deadlines are met
  • Coordinates with project teams and individual employees to verify hours worked, correct coding, and ensuring labour laws and project agreements are met using standard procedures
  • Perform a high volume of purchase order creation and revisions, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and secure necessary approvals
  • Create and submit invoices into JD Edwards and customer portals, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and coordinate with customers to resolve any issues efficiently
  • Assists project teams with financial-related tasks and month-end duties, ensuring all timelines are met


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar data processing or bookkeeping role
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with strong Excel skills for dealing with high volumes of data; ERP experience an asset
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
  • Experience with JD Edwards or similar accounting software preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail; accuracy in working with large amounts of data.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, juggle multiple deadlines.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer service

Work Conditions:

  • This position offers work from home options with the understanding that at times you may be required to attend the office or travel to the project site as business needs require
