Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), the Cash Management, Team Lead will oversee the accurate and timely entry and reporting of financial data within the company's systems. In this role, you will manage payment and transactional treasury functions while ensuring effective communication and collaboration with project teams, corporate shared services, and executives to guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of data. You will leverage your expertise in accounts payable and transactional treasury processes to coordinate team efforts, provide guidance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, value-added client support.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Guide the team in ensuring the timely preparation, signing, payment, and distribution of cheques
  • Coordinate wire payments, EFT, and ACH processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with banking protocols
  • Track payment transactions and prepare regular reports on payment metrics and performance
  • Support fraud monitoring processes for cheques and EFT to detect and prevent fraudulent activities
  • Manage corporate card administration and maintenance for users, in coordination with projects and credit providers
  • Oversee accurate audit and reporting of the employee expense management system
  • Lead and coordinate the timely processing of Yearly 1099/T4A/T5018 tax forms
  • Support payment modernization efforts by adopting new technologies and methods to improve efficiency
  • Monitor daily cash positions to ensure sufficient funds for payment processing and prepare daily cash reporting
  • Coordinate with the treasury team to manage cash flow and optimize liquidity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or business
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role within the finance domain
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Accounts Payable, cash management, banking procedures, and financial controls
  • Relevant industry and JD Edwards experience would be an asset
  • Awareness of GAAP and IFRS guidelines and applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures would be an asset
  • Proficient in technology solution, (MS Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, able to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer service
  • Ability to interact with leadership, key stakeholders, employees and suppliers in a professional manner

Compensation

$57,600 -$79,200 Annual.

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
