Ledcor is now hiring a Parts Planner to support our equipment team based out of our repair shop in Leduc Alberta on a fixed-term contract!

You will be responsible for sourcing, ordering, and managing parts and materials for equipment maintenance and repairs. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing, efficient inventory management, and timely distribution of parts to support our technicians.

Essential Responsibilities:

Parts Procurement & Sourcing

  • Source, order, and track parts/materials for equipment maintenance, ensuring cost-effective purchasing
  • Process purchase orders, track delivery, and resolve minor order issues
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and vendor agreements

 Inventory & Logistics Coordination

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records
  • Organize inventory for efficient retrieval and distribution

Parts Distribution & Support

  • Manage shipment/receipt of parts, ensuring proper documentation
  • Collaborate with technicians to confirm parts and address supply chain issues

  Process Optimization & Compliance

  • Support improvements in procurement and inventory workflows
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Parts Technician
  • 2-3 years of industry experience, preferably in highway truck or heavy equipment environments
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving abstract
  • Safety-conscious and able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of CAT heavy equipment parts and JD Edwards, Caterpillar SIS, or similar platforms is an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Work Conditions:

  • Office-based role located in Leduc, Alberta, with occasional travel within the province
  • Fixed-term contract with potential for extension
  • Monday to Friday work schedule
