Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform cable removal and decommissioning tasks in commercial and industrial environments. 

  • Identify and safely remove outdated cables, racks, and other infrastructure components. 

  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies. 

  • Conduct inspections and assessments before and after cable removal to ensure job completeness. 

  • Work with project managers and other technicians to coordinate decommissioning schedules. 

  • Utilize hand and power tools to complete cable extraction efficiently. 

  • Operate lifts, ladders, and other equipment necessary for cable removal. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the removal process. 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.  

  • 1-3 years of experience in cable removal, telecommunications, or a related field. 

  • Ability to read and interpret, and technical drawings. 

  • Strong understanding of safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and fall protection. 

  • Comfortable working at heights, confined spaces, and outdoor environments. 

  • Proficiency in using cable removal tools and equipment. 

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

  • DZ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred. 

  • Be able to work out of town when necessary 

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. 

  • Ability to climb ladders  

  • Capable of standing, kneeling, bending, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
