Essential Responsibilities:
Perform cable removal and decommissioning tasks in commercial and industrial environments.
Identify and safely remove outdated cables, racks, and other infrastructure components.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
Conduct inspections and assessments before and after cable removal to ensure job completeness.
Work with project managers and other technicians to coordinate decommissioning schedules.
Utilize hand and power tools to complete cable extraction efficiently.
Operate lifts, ladders, and other equipment necessary for cable removal.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the removal process.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1-3 years of experience in cable removal, telecommunications, or a related field.
Ability to read and interpret, and technical drawings.
Strong understanding of safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and fall protection.
Comfortable working at heights, confined spaces, and outdoor environments.
Proficiency in using cable removal tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
DZ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Be able to work out of town when necessary
Working Conditions:
Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders
Capable of standing, kneeling, bending, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
