Job Summary
You're a Project Coordinator familiar with telecommunications networks, services or general construction practices. You will be responsible for day to day tasks, ensuring projects are completed on time and are functioning smoothly. You will also be assisting with project plans and schedules, while ensuring safety and quality control. Throughout the project, you will work with subcontractors, clients and our own designers.

  • Ensures schedule deadlines are adhered to and project deliverables are maintained
  • Collaborates with team members from other divisions to overcome project challenges and issues
  • Generates design progress reports, monitor and track KPIs
  • Completes workload planning, forecasting and tracking
  • Assists with ensuring project materials are supplied and work is completed in compliance with the project quality program
  • Assists with ensuring that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes and that quality standards are maintained
  • Aligns and tracks to the design and construction schedule in conjunction with project team
  • Issues materials and services purchase orders, invoice verification and tracking
  • Assists with project financial reporting and status updates
  • Travels and works on site as required

  • 1-4 years of coordinating and scheduling experience in a telecommunications or construction environment
  • Experience with outside plant construction or other telecommunications construction projects is an asset
  • Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental protection practices and procedures as they apply to common construction processes
  • Knowledge of office processes: project set up; subcontract management; change orders; RFIs (request for information); lien holdbacks; closeouts
  • Experience with Primavera 6 (P6) or RPATS is an asset
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, understand and interpret stakeholder needs and identify solutions
  • Capable of anticipating constructability issues in moderately complex situations and creating solutions in the construction plan and schedule
  • Skilled at promoting teamwork with project team and stakeholders
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with a high proficiency in Excel
